What time is check in?
You can check in from 2pm on the day of arrival.

What time is check out?
Check out is at 11am on the day of departure.

I'm attending a wedding at Clearwell Castle - how far are you from the Castle and can I check in early?
Clearwell Castle is a five minute walk from the hotel. If you request an early check-in, you can have access to your room from Noon, but we cannot guarantee that your room will have been fully serviced by housekeeping.

Can I bring my dog with me?
Dogs are allowed in two of our rooms, but not in the bar or dining room areas. The bedrooms which are pet friendly are both superior rooms on the ground floor with good access to the gardens. See rooms info.

What is your nearest train station?
Lydney is our nearest train station. It is 6 miles from the hotel. It is advisable to book a taxi to meet you at the station, and we will be happy to provide you with the telephone number of local firms.

How long will it take me to drive from London?
From the western outskirts of London, it will take you approximately 120 - 150 minutes. Please see directions. You will need to have £5.30 with you to pay the bridge fee.

Do you take a deposit?
We ask for a £25 deposit for each room booked.

What is your cancellation policy?
The deposit less an administration fee of £5 per room will be refunded only if you cancel more than one week before the date of arrival. Cancellation less than three days before the date of arrival will incur a charge of one night's accommodation. Please note that it is a condition of any booking that any cancellation charges may be deducted directly from your credit or debit card and we therefore strongly advise that you take out cancellation insurance. We would also request that you confirm any cancellation in writing either by registered post, fax or e-mail.

I want to book for dinner, bed and breakfast, what does this rate include?
Dinner, bed and breakfast includes the room, a full English Breakfast and our three course evening meal. Drinks and coffee are not included and will be charged in addition.

I am booked on bed and breakfast, but may want to eat in the restaurant. Can I change to the dinner, bed and breakfast rate when I arrive at the hotel?
If you want to change to the dinner, bed and breakfast rate you must do so before arriving at the hotel. If you are on bed and breakfast and eat one evening, then the cost of the meal will be added to your room bill.
